Though it’s not necessary to come make-up free, consider arriving to your appointment with a bare face. Be ready to chat about your current at-home skin care routine and any skin concerns you may have.
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that add volume to specific areas of the face. They work by replenishing lost volume, smoothing wrinkles, and enhancing facial contours. Common fillers include hyaluronic acid and collagen-based products.
Botox is a neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes facial muscles, reducing the appearance of wrinkles caused by muscle contractions. It's commonly used to treat frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead wrinkles.
The duration of results varies depending on the product used and individual factors. Typically, fillers last from 6 to 18 months, while Botox results last about 3 to 6 months. Maintenance treatments are often needed to sustain results.
Avoid taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen, Advil®, Motrin®, Fish oil, Ginko Biloba, St. John’s Wort and high doses of vitamin E for 7-10 days prior to procedure, as these may cause increase risk of bleeding and bruising at the treated site(s). Avoid alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to procedure as this can increase the risk for bleeding and bruising at the treated site(s). Post treatment do not touch or rub injected site for 3-4 hours. Avoid exercise and sweating for the remainder of the day and no lying down or leaning forward for 3-4 hours after treatment. Avoid any type of facial, microdermabrasion, or massage for 7-10 days after treatment.

If you have any history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) on your face, make sure you inform the doctor, as a medication will be prescribed to you to prevent an outbreak. Avoid dental procedures 2 weeks pre filler and 2 weeks post filler. Come to your appointment with a clean face. The majority of reactions to dermal fillers are redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness after the injections. These usually subside a few days after the treatment, but can last up to a week. If any of these symptoms persist longer than a week, or if you develop other symptoms, please contact our office. Do not touch, rub, or manipulate the face areas injected unless you received specific instructions to massage the area, Avoid extreme heat exposure ( sun, sauna, hot yoga, tan beds) for 2-3 days. Avoid high-intensity activities forr 2-3 days. Avoid make up for 24 hours. Avoid taking the plane at least 72 hours after the treatment. Avoid dental procedures 2 weeks after. Do not use products that contain retinol for 2-3 days.
